Description   Daniel Defense is pleased to announce the release of the Omega X 7.0 Rail System! The Omega X 7.0 is for use on a carbine length gas system. This two piece free float rail system secures to a proprietary barrel nut so our AR15 Lite Rail Barrel Nut Wrench and initial gunsmithing are required for installation. Once the rail system is completely installed, it can easily be removed from the barrel nut to allow the end user to perform maintenence to the barrel and gas tube! The Omega X Rail™ features integral QD sling swivel mounts with rotation limiter and an uninterrupted upper rail platform. This light weight rail system is meticulously CNC machined from Aircraft Grade Aluminum and is Military Specification Type III Hard Coat Anodized. All the Omega X Rail fasteners are military specification. The Omega Rail X 7.0 is designed to work with a carbine length gas system with a standard Front Sight Base. All Daniel Defense Rail Systems are built to the 1913 Military Specification and are 100% Quality Assurance checked for conformity to the specification. The Omega X 7.0 rail system comes standard with three black ladders to proctect the 1913 rails as well as the shooters hand. The Ladders are contructed from santoprene, which can handle heat up to 350 degrees.
